Writing to /data/app

Postby Half-Leif » Tue May 04, 2010 2:53 pm

Hi,

Does anyone know how to write to /data/app (from code)? When I try it I get IOException: Parent directory of file is not writeable. I have tried to put my apk in system/app and I tried adding permission WRITE_OWNER_DATA which I have no idea what it does.

There are various backup applications available that seem to be able to back up and restore installed applications, I haven't tried any of them but I suppose they have to be able to write to /data/.

/Leif
