Tile map from J2ME to Android

Good evening,

I have been going out of my mind trying to figure out how to move some code from J2ME to Android. Basically in J2ME I draw a map (game back ground) using tiles:

Image image = Image.createImage("/maptiles" + i + ".png"); // for maptiles0.png, maptiles1.png, maptiles2.png, etc.
            byte byte0 = 9;

Then I create the objects, to place over the game map, such as trees, tables, etc. using:

NI2[j] = Image.createImage("/obj" + j + ".png"); // // for obj1.png, obj2.png, obj3.png, etc.

Any help is very appreciated!
