Service and activity process

Postby modha_chintan » Fri Nov 28, 2008 10:20 pm

Hi all

I have some basic questions on service and activities.

I am developing a task scheduler,

* user can schedule an event on a specific date and time via GUI .
* events are stored in a database.
* I have a service that pulls out an event from the db and checks current system time and event time.

now when the system time is equal to event time, I want to show a dialog message , but it seems that service process is unable to show a dialog message.

I tried creating a new thread in my service class that will show a dialog message but that didn't work either.

any suggestions

thanks in advance.
