save login-name and password

Postby The Spirit » Fri May 01, 2009 1:11 pm

HI.
For my app, i need the login and pw.
If i start the app for the first time, i want to save this two values.
So if i restart the app, it loads the data if there are both values.
Normally, i would use a txt file to save these values, but i think this is to unsafe.
But using a database would be overkill in my mind for only two values.
What would be the best way to go with?
Thanks

maybe use application preferences, if you have a LOT of users (probably not) then just use the database, its not that slow

thanks.
maybe i have misspelled my request.
the user needs login and password in order to log-in.
it is like the twitter apps, where you have to log-in into twitter.
but in order to now tipe it in everytime you start the app, the app itself will save your account info.
this is what i want to do too.
but where should the app save the login data from the user?

my answer is the same... the app preferences act like a local database, you can assign keys and values. Dont see why its not good for you
