Register application to a specific port

Hi,

Fellows I recently start working on android and want to learn maximum. I have to design a SMS application that should register to a specific port and receive all SMS coming on this specific port. I found no way to register my SMS application to a specific port. Plz suggest any solution how can i solve my problem. Thanks in advance.

[mod]This is not a tutorial, so why would you start this thread in the tutorial section?

There is no such things as port in sms transmissions...

Yes there is. It is used when sending WAP messages (binary SMS), for example OMA Client Provisioning bootstrap messages. See page 73 of this document:

Ok, in that case I withdraw my response :). And I can't help you further.

Well, I don't think you can register your app to receive only sms messages for a specific port, but I think you can get the port from the sms message and if it's yours, use it.
