Publishing your app question (promo text etc)

OK, not a coding issue but it was the most suitable category I could find to post this.

I published an app last night but I'm wondering what some of these extra fields are used for. I've tried searching and found little information.

When publishing, where and what specifically are the PROMO TEXT, PROMO IMAGE, and FEATURE IMAGE used for?
