Postby bins1984 » Tue Mar 11, 2008 9:25 am

hi Plus minus........i had created an login page.............i created in xml and accessing in java........My application is working fine....but the look of the window is not good..because the size of the Edit text and button is big.....
and am Using SDK-M5.......i tried to make small....but the problem is if i reduce the size more than 15px then the size of the upper part of the edit text will loose and when i type the text half of text only visible i tried to cut down the size of text also but still its loosing half part and thats also not looking good.......before in three its very easy to
reduce the size but in M5 its very big in size by default......i tried the attributes call
]
Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1. android:maxHeight=" "
  2.
  3. android:height=" "
Parsed in 0.029 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

i tried the syntax in both java and XML but still i couldn't do that.....
is there any option to do that??????

or can u tell me how can i remove the selection color in the edit text and button....
if that happened then it will come down the text size............

please help me

Hi bins1984,

I am not plusminus :D
I get a thread (@google android group) talking about your topic, and a google guy reply:
Widgets can be resized but some have a minimum size defined by their
background images (like buttons for instance.) Also, TableLayout does
not let you specify the size of its children in M5. This is fixed in
the next SDK.

Can it help you?
