Power Saving abilities?

Postby quantass0 » Fri Mar 14, 2008 1:28 am

How much control does Android provide one for Power Saving features because I was going through their docs and the amount of power control seems very limiting.

Are there more low-level controlling abilities to say:
  • Adjust the priority level of running application processes
  • Adjust the screen brightness to a certain level
  • reduce output quality of video/audio

Thanks for any kind of insight.

Look for android.os.IPowerManager and android.server.PowerManager.
Completely undocumented API.
