Hello ekambresh,

  1. Choose a topic-title more expressive than "Hi all" ;) (changed it)
  2. Never worked with J2ME but without knowing anything about your app/problem no one will really be able to help you.
The problems you will experience may vary from some lines to half rewriting your code.
  3. Android is built using Apache's harmony, a compatible
implementation of J2SE 5, with nearly every optional interface
replaced by something written specifically for Android. Android has
its own user interface and service framework, as well as specialized
implementations for Bluetooth support, IPC, etc.

And I would just add, that it all depends on structure of your application.

If you wrote your j2me application in such a way that application logic, which is written in plain java I assume, is separate from platform specific stuff, all you have to do is rewrite that platform specific stuff. And you don't have to reinvent wheel again.

And if you didn't separate this, well I guess you have a lot of work ahead of you. Because it is a different approach.

Either way you have to get your hands dirty, and learn , and learn, and learn about Android buahahah  !
Aj, pa u zdravlju se videli!

I would recommend writing a dummy app for Android to get the feel for it. Spend a week or so playing around with Android and then go back to porting from J2ME, it will be much easier after having some exposure.
