Hello gunaztar,

what you get are probably warnings, not errors.
Deprecated methods can but should not be used.

Hello gunaztar,

:warning: this is not the way to start a new Activity :!: :!: :!:

One does that, by using Intents:
:arrow: http://www.anddev.org/viewtopic.php?t=99

AlertDialog still exists and , if I remember right, its show()-method takes one more parameter, a drawable-id.

Hello gunaztar,

this is how it works in m5:
Syntax: [ Download ] [ Hide ]
Using java Syntax Highlighting
  1.                  AlertDialog.show(this,"Browsing to...",R.drawable.folder, "Folder:"
  2.
  3.                  + aDirectory.getName(),"OK",true);
Parsed in 0.031 seconds, using GeSHi 1.0.8.4

Before m5 the drawableID was missing.
