Passing variables to PhoneStateListener

Postby arbocmata » Fri Mar 19, 2010 10:29 am

Hello,

I'm new to android/java and I have this issue where I can't get Context when I create an instance of the PhoneStateListener. I really just want to have access to more than the PhoneStateListener provides. I figured if i made a variable public that maybe I could get an instance of it or maybe... pass an extra arguement but that doesnt work. Really if i could have access to the package Context i would be golden but my understanding so far is that is not possible??? not 100% sure yet.

Maybe start a service? but if i do, will i have access to Context?

Any ideas or workaround would be appreciated.
