open file browser

Postby AlexRamallo » Thu Mar 25, 2010 2:39 am

is there a way to check if the user has a file browser installed like (Astro file manager or OI file manager) and then open whichever is set as default to find a file to open?

Like lets say I have a notes application. User makes a note, and saves it as .txt on "sdcard/notes/"
Tomorrow the user wants to open it, and to do that he uses his default file browser(if one is installed) to locate and open the desired.txt file.

I know a list activity might be better to use but I prefer to learn the file browser method since it will be more important in the future.
