Novice: banner in main.xml

Postby iaindownie » Mon Dec 07, 2009 10:23 am

Hi,
I'm currently building a very simple app that has some text along the top defined/formatted by

<TextView android:id="@+id/strap" android:layout_width="wrap_content"
android:layout_height="wrap_content" android:textSize="20px"
android:text="My application" android:textColor="@color/darkgreen"/>

I'd prefer to have a thin, stretched JPG/GIF banner to allow more flexibility in look and feel, but I'm really struggling. Does anyone have any examples of banner usage within a RelativeLayout? I've tried to add in an ImageView but I just can't seem to keep it to about 20px high, and basically it looks crap!

Thanks in advance
Iain
