Need help to make an Android Telnet app

Postby Apicalis » Sun Mar 31, 2013 10:42 am

Hello everyone,

I am new to the forum and Eclipse Programming. I only want to make an small app to control my Arduino Board. I hope you can help me to design that App.

It should consist of 3 vertical Seekbars. The Seekbars must have a range from 255 (bottom) to 0 (top).

Everytime you change a Seekbar to a new position, the new data should be directly sent via Telnet to my device.

That's about all i want it to do. I hope you can help me with it. I have no idea how to program that. I am happy that i get along with Arduino ^^

Hey,

basicly the connection is established via a serial USB connection. Ideally you use the Arduino Mega ADK - it is designed to work with Android. But also you can user every other Arduino Board together with a bluetooth board (eg the Sparkfun bluetooth mate). You can read the code how to send serial messages in this Arduino tutorial: http://www.softwaresupply.de/app-entwickler-blog/hardware-entwicklung-mit-android-und-arduino-das-tutorial
