lock_layer() warnings

Hello all. I am working on a game, and am trying to confirm a few things:

I am currently using a GLSurfaceView and Renderer to do my drawing. I have a separate GameUpdater class, which implements Runnable, creates a Thread, and handles game updates in its run method. I'm testing on a dev phone using 1.6. Now, the game itself renders correctly, the game thread updates correctly, and I have no crashes. However, while running, LogCat is getting filled (fairly often) with these warnings:

lock_layer timed out (is the CPU pegged?) layer=1 ...
lock_layer() timed out but didn't appear to need to be locked and we recovered ...
executeScheduledBroadcasts() skipped, contention on the client. We'll try again later...

I have had little luck in finding out what this really means, if I need to correct some code, or just ignore it. Has anyone else dealt with a similar problem? I apologize if this has been addressed before.
