Is it possible to backup all Applications and their Data?

Postby quantass0 » Thu Mar 13, 2008 8:43 am

My apologies in advance if this question comes off silly and stupid...i just have to ask because i have no clue...

Was curious...does Android have permission request setting (that asks the user giving permission to an application) to allow one application the ability to see and backup all other applications and their accompanying data files? Is this possible in Android?

I know one can request for certain data files like Photos, Music, Contacts...but what if i wanted to make a complete backup of my entire phone with full applications and their "custom" data created/stored on the phone existing for that application package.

Thanks for your insight.

Hi quantass0,

It seams impossible to access the directory /data/
Read other directory is no porblem.
Search in anddev.org, then you will get relative threads.
