Input wheel like the iphones

Im trying to find a way to make my own "Picker View"(iPhone SDK calls it that) to my android project but dont know where to start what to build from and so on.

Well it do create almost the same function. The things I think it lacks is:
Flicker the wheel to make it spinn and stop.
You have to click the dropdownish thing befor you can select from the list.
In iPhones i dont have to select anything its the option under the blue glass that is selected.
And it dont look like a selection wheel spinning. Its just a list.

What object can i extend to build a thing like this.

Does anyone suggest that it is possible to extend some other object or do i need to build it from the ground up?

I'd like to see such widget too.

I saw it in some applications, ie in htc sense home widget (time/weather), where you can set time for the countdown timer. It's more like a "number picker", but looks very similar to iphone one.

Me too ! I have been using the numberpicker controll that was extracted from the Android SDK. But as I have to choose a number between 1 to 100 the numberpicker is just not cutting it.
A control described in the first post would be perfect !
