IIS Question: How do I make it so I can download the APK?

Postby GasBot » Sun Nov 02, 2008 4:41 pm

In IIS, I've added the .apk extension with the mime type of "application/vnd.android.package-archive" which changed the error message I was getting in the android browser from something about not being a supported file to "Cannot finish download. There is not enough space." Which I don't understand this error since I've got like 48MB of free space on the device and it's a 9KB file.

Anyone run into this before?

(And yes, I've allows other sources in my settings)

do you have an SD? Maybe it downloads to sd, from which it'll install.

Yeah, I have my 4GB SD card in there right now. Maybe I should try swapping back to the 1GB?

You could try, but that seems useless...

Maybe Android dislikes IIS, and wants you to use Apache or something.
