how to update app?

Postby charles_dong » Wed Nov 18, 2009 9:59 am

Hi,

I am developing an Android application. I would like to perform a remote update of this application, when a new version is available in a Web-Application Server. I had implemented a solution for this problem in J2ME using the platformRequest() function. But I don't know how can do that in Android. Is there a similar solution for android? Can anybody me help?

I had a solution:
1. download apk to device
2. open apk file as type "application/vnd.android.package-archive"
