Postby fqming » Thu Nov 13, 2008 12:32 pm

Hi All,

Today i meet a problem: most of time, my application's backlight is turnoff, but some time, i need show an alert message, and i will turn on the backlight, but the device will not show the message box directly though the backlight is turnon, it show the unlock dialog(which show that press the menu key unlock the screen), and i need press the menu key, and then see my alert message.

So, how to avoid the system unlock tip dialog?

I read somewhere that this is not possible.... My best suggestion would be to some how make your app simulate a menu button press. I don't know if this is possible either...

Your app shouldn't make the 'lock screen' dissapear, as that could make users make unwanted phone calls or I don't know what. If you really need to make something clear to the user, use a notification with a sound and a vibrate pattern.

Don't forget YOU are _NOT_ the owner of the phone, but the user is, so the user should __ALWAYS__ be in control of what he sees on the phone and does with the phone!
