like i am having a button and some some text i should diplay on the screen how can i......... i am displaying buttons but unable to display the wanted text.........

i did setcontentview(r.layout.xyz)............but apart from i shoould append some text to that scren how can i .......?

You could create a label and then use code to change the text in it.
