In the emulator, the keyboard is shown right to the mobile phone. If i want to fill a textbox, i simply do it with the keyboard to the right - or with the real keyboard on my PC.

but how will the "real-virtual-keyboard" be handled on the device? What functions do i have for it? when and how will it show up to the users?

Hello sommeralex,

Android does not yet contain any functionality for a virtual keyboard.
But it is absolutely sure, that there will be such in the future.
