Format data from SMS content provider

Postby xgeraldx » Thu Dec 11, 2008 6:42 am

I'm using the SMS inbox content provider to fill a list view, how do i format the date (5 November 2008)? It looks like the data is in long int format, not 100% on that :? . Thanks in advance for the help.

If it's long int, try new Data(long);

Did you try the content providers update method?

I did find this information out from a post on the internet:

"If you're using SimpleCursorAdapter or SimpleAdapter, you can use
setViewBinder to attach a ViewBinder object to the adapter. Then
override setViewValue in the ViewBinder. "

The only problem is when I try to create a ViewBinder object, I can't find it as a class that I can inherit from. I think if I can figure this out I should be good, any ideas?
