automatically update application version

Postby ashv » Tue Apr 19, 2011 8:13 am

I'd like to have my application check for a new version on startup and if there is a newer version, it should update/download it automatically from a url. I have tried searching google, but my keywords always seem to bring up Android versions and download android sdk etc. So if anyone could please help me out or point me in the right direction. Also a thing to note is that I'm rather new to Android development.
