Allow SWF Files to access the internet

Postby OneX » Tue Mar 15, 2011 10:15 am

Hi

I'm trying to load a swf file which is embedded in a HTML Page with a webview. This works perfect. But when I load external Data inside the swf, the webview stops loading the swf.
So I guess the app needs permission to access the internet. I added in the mainifest.xml the following:
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />
I think it also needs a permission for flash to access the internet, but how??

Hi Onex,

Have you tried setting the webview pluginsEnabled method?
something like this webview.getSettings().setPluginsEnabled(true);

Yes. I have the following settings:
webSettings.setJavaScriptEnabled(true);
webSettings.setSupportZoom(true);
webSettings.setPluginsEnabled(true);

The swf works fine until it has to load something from an external Adress. The standard Browser is able to load the swf with the external data.

Can you please send logs of your handset/emulator for us to analyze so it is much easier to figure out the problem.
