please help me(G1 connection to PC through USB)

Hi all....
I have a problem that my laptop(lenovo) recognised the Android device but when i install the USB drivers by giving path /usb_drivers/x86 the installation completes with the fetal error. I have tried to uninstall & reunstall it, but it won't work. Also i am trying with the Driver given by Plusminus on this site (android_usb_windows), this is also not working...
Previously I have Vista Home premium 32 bit on my laptop, now i have WindowsXp SP2...
Plz help me..................

I had lots of problems with those drivers, and I found all the answers in that thread.
