1.1 SDK - What are the differences?

Postby Wijnbo » Mon Feb 09, 2009 3:03 pm

Just downloaded the 1.1 Android SDK. Can anyone tell me the big differences?

There is no 1.1 SDK. That RC33 supports 1.1 SDK doesn't mean it is the 1.1 SDK.

Hmm, I just checked, before posting and googlecode/android didn't show any 1.1. But if you have 1.1 there's a change log somewhere on the site.

Well, google doesn't show - but there is :D

Just use the almighty URL modifiing technique... and voila :

http://dl.google.com/android/android-sd ... 1.0_r2.zip

becomes

http://dl.google.com/android/android-sd ... 1.1_r1.zip

:P :P :P

Thanks, that's something I could have done... :D. I'll check.

[edit]Well, the overview of changes and api diff report aren't up, so saying which changes are made aren't that easy. First thing you'll notice is the new entry for the Manifest: minSdkVersion

And you can set your locale: US, UK or German.
