Does this really help get people access to the forums and interested in java? and android? and register and stuff?. I say this because i had my friend ask me the question and i had to tell him cause hes a newbie and he wants to join but he had to ask me the answer i know its a java forum and i snickered when i saw it but newbies who are JUST starting java have no clue what it is i say you should make it easier something spambots cant get something like

"Whats the name of the platform this forum is focused on" I E "Android" with and without caps i dont know but make it easier for the new people or we wont get anybody but i do see this as a way to keep some trolls out but still really.. :p?

Poor noobies imagine all the people that wanted to sign up but had NO clue the answer?.

but i did see squareroot and the number 4.
I'm sure there is a logical reason for the question, probably requiring a certain level of common sense to approach.

you can kinda tell what the output is even if you dont know progamming: "Math.sqrt(4)". you can tell that is has the words Math, and square root, and you see the number 4

I didn't know Java when I registered but it was easy to work out, thanks to the words maths and sqrt, and it really made me smile, it was much more entertaining than your average anti-spam bot question

I think if your friend copy pasted this into google he would have found the answer! That's for sure...

I honestly feel that it wasnt that hard to figure out, but I can see how some people could be detoured by it. But as someone else said, the answer is just a google search away, and do we really want people who are too lazy/dumb to search? Then every other thread is someone asking how to do something that has been covered a million times.

I don't know what language the CAPTCHA was written in, I'll admit it made me stop for a second, then I figured it out.

Now that I see this thread it's even funnier to me that everyone gets the same question. Imagine if "x" was a random number and you had to figure it out. I thought I got lucky with the number 4, hmm, easy, I got this one!
