Existing Mobiles running Android are fake?

Postby plusminus » Fri Jan 18, 2008 2:35 am

Hey guys, I just wanted to get your idea of the attached photo...

My points of mistrust:
  1. Button in the lower left of the screen overlaps the screen.
  2. Screen compared to the quality of the device is far to good.
  3. The top info bar seems to be too close to the screen edge
  4. ...

What do you think :?: :?: :?:

For comparison my HTC_TyTN-SKIN:

Have the just posted screen shots and no video? If so then I'm doubtful.

You'd think with something like this they would make a video of Android actually running the phone to show it off.

Videos would be a real proof.

100% fake.. The bottom image we're talking about right? If you run a differential over it, you'll see the edges of the image being completely straight and pixel sharp. No way you can make a photo like that.

^^

I should submit my HTC-Skin-Screenshot to the major tech-news sites. They will probably all believe it ^^

I have an HTC Titan I have been able to install a modified verson of the Android 1.1 Release. It does work and will install certain 1.1 Apps. Not all features of the phone are available like Wireless/GPS etc. So not all are fake.

Also the HTC Vogue has a large following of developers who are actually getting it to near perfect support. They have added GPS and the like. They have Cupcake releases working.

The reason its possible for these phones to run Android is they use a Qualcom processor which is very similar to the one in the HTC Dream so the Kernel is very similar.
