Android Developer Contest - the final push

Postby Steel » Fri Apr 11, 2008 2:37 pm

So - the final weekend before the deadline. Time to psyche yourself up for a superhuman effort, listen to electronic music, take drugs (LEGAL), whatever you have to do to finish your application in time.

Good luck everybody! :)

My AndNav! has taken some huge steps towards a really valuable release.

Just 3 days left :D
You'll find the apk very soon in the AndNav-Thread :)

Good luck to any of you too :!:

In Indiana it is probably very early in the morning of Tuesday.

There should be a countdown in the Header of this Page... ?

Same story, only one less project than bluefloyd8

Postby certron » Mon Apr 14, 2008 5:04 am

I was hoping my code would be all done last week... I think I might have to do what I can and write a *really* good README. It would be great to win, after all, I only have to be the 50th best project, but with all the talent that I've seen, I don't know if I have a chance! :D

Good luck everyone!

I haven't decided yet if I'm taking off work tomorrow to make another attempt to finish my project. I spent most of today coding and made great progress, but still not completely working.

EXACTLY 24 HOURS LEFT

I just submitted my contest entry #2. There is nothing left for me to do but wait nervously.

Good luck to everyone else trying to get finished in the remaining time. Lets all share our ideas after the contest ends. Im really excited to see what everyone else came up with. Once I get a little free time i will make a video screencast or something

Phew! I'm glad that is over. Now I can get on to coding fun projects!

I even printed out the very underwhelming confirmation page.

I hope everyone got their projects in on time. I have a sneaking suspicion that this site was very popular yesterday... because it stopped working about 6 hours before the deadline. :D

I even thanked the site (and plusminus) in my documentation, along with droiddraw because of how helpful they have been.

I am thinking about possibly buying a shirt, but definitely thinking about donating some money to the site. It has been quite helpful to me and also lots of fun to read. Now that the stress of the contest has subsided a little bit, I am going to make some of the projects I didn't have time for earlier.

Good luck to everyone who entered!

There you go, I've just donated. Too bad the dollar is so weak, but I swear I didn't do it!

I am discussing my code with a friend over AIM. With how many suggestions he has for improving my code, I just hope that it reflects well on the site, considering the quality of my code.

I wonder what I shall write next...
