I have a PC server sending data to Android client every 3 minutes. How can I update the view of Android phone? Is the function "invalidate()" only way I can update the view?

you can use handler to update your UI after getting some new data from server. But I'm not so clear exactly how you wanna do that and also I'm not aware of your design structure. If you can explain your task a bit more.
