Hey I just started looking into android development and I was wondering about how do you go about using apps from other Activities such as a camera and use the data that they capture? Maybe this not be a novice question but just a thought.

This is probably the most common and popular thing in Android. In order to use other activities/apps in Android you would use an "Intent".
