[REQ] getting/installing .apk inside an app

Postby SamuraiZack » Tue Jul 06, 2010 11:01 pm

Hello everyone!

I'm new to android and I've been following a lot of the tutorials on this forum for a little over a week now. I'm planning to start creating an app soon but I'm confuse as to how to retrieve .apk files from my server which after that installing that .apk file. Basically I want something like a really simple marketplace but only downloading my created apps from a server which I will host. I know this can be done as I've seen some marketplaces outside of the Google marketplace like SlideMe. Though I don't want it as complex. I've done the tutorials on reading/writing .txt files and also retrieving image files and saving it on the phone but I'm not so sure about .apk packages.

I've looked over the web but I couldn't find a tutorial on this so any hints or advices on this situation will be most thankful!

Thanks again!
