I wrote the following command to cmd: C:\android-sdk-windows-1.0_r2\tools>mksdcard -l mysdcard 10M C:\sdcard.img
without success because the cmd does not recognize it. What to do so that the cmd can recognize the above comand and to create the sdcard I need?

I have downloaded the above zip sdcard. I wrote the following command for pushing file to the sdcard:
C:Program Filesandroid-sdk-windows-1.0_r2android-sdk-windows-1.0_r2tools>adb push F:europe.bmp sdcard/europe.bmp but it shows the message: failed to copy 'F:europe.bmp' to 'sdcard/europe.bmp':Read-only file system. I tried the same in the file explorer in DDMS in eclipse but with the result(message). What can I do so that the above message gets disappeared and to push the above file in the sdcard normally ?

I think You dint set permission for Sdcard...
For setting permission restart the emulator using this command

emulator -sdcard <filename>

then try to push file..

and how do we created subfolders in this IMG file in the Windows environment?

Is the ADB the only unhandy possibility or is there any more handy tool for that, like an image/ISO tool ?

Hi,

This is great tutorial..it's helped me alot...

But when i am pushing the files to sdcard ..it's throwing failed to copy..Read- only file system..

In my app i am playing a video file...for that thing im pushing the video file in to mySdcard..

Im able to create the sdcard and i given the "-sdcard C:android-sdk-windows-1.5_r2toolsmysdcard.img" and when im run the app in eclips im able to watch the mysdcard.img.lock in tools folder..

The main problem is when i am trying to push the .mp4 file it showing that this is Read-file system only..

adb push tenniskid.mp4 mysdcard/tenniskid.mp4

Failed to copy 'tenniskid.mp4' to 'mysdcard.img/tenniskid.mp4' : Read-only file system.

This is my problem and give me a sample steps to play the video file in sdcard if any body have..

Thanks
