Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is an excellent SmartPhone. Its 5.5 HD Super AMOLED screen offers better clarity and a 16:9 screen ratio C perfecting all viewing experiences. The innovative design of the GALAXY Note II includes a bigger screen while maintaining a slim body to fit just right in your hand., so it is called a tablet device. However, if you have got one, you may don't know how to connect it to Mac computer for transferring video and music media files.

In the post, I will share four ways for copying media files between Mac OS X and Galaxy Note ii smartphone:

1. Android File Transfer:
It s not stable, sometimes neither MTP option nor camera PTP work. (It works with Nexus 7, so it's not broken)

2. Kies on Mac:
It s very clumsy interface for generic file transfer, but can decide location (SD versus phone). USB connection works and is fast. It supports queue multiple transfers, so suitable for transferring few large movies.
Tip: For Mac OS X Mountain Lion users, install the current version kies20mac_s9999.pkg.

3. Airdroid app:
It s WiFi not USB speed and clumsy browser interface for multiple file transfer. It does not support the external SD card as a target.

4. Connect storage to PC option:
It works. Select Settings > Wireless and network > USB utilities, and choose the Connect storage to PC option. Connect the Galaxy Note II to your computer using the micro-USB cable. And it just works as a removable disk.

1) For large transfers, you'd better use the method 2- Kies on Mac via USB.
2) If you click on the folder icons you can then drag and drop from the Finder to the small window.
3) For normal transfers you d better to use Airdroid File Transfer.
4) For music playlist synchronization iSyncr will be a better choice.

Tip: You should make sure the files you want transfer from Mac are supported by the Note II device. It means they are Galaxy Note 2 supported friendly formats, like MPEG4, H.263, H.264, and we found H.264 MP4I. After testing, MKV, DivX, MTS, VOB, MPG, MOV files are incomfortable for Note ii, if you want to sync to it, you should reformat MKV/DivX/MTS/VOB/MPG/MOV videos to Galaxy Note 2 file format before transferring.
