Background Image with components over the top

Postby roccosaya2 » Wed Feb 13, 2008 9:48 pm

Hi all,

Greatly appreciate anyone who is posting to help those who are new to the Android platform. I'm just getting started, and I'm already somewhat amazed at the size of the platform.

In any case, can someone PLEASE post information, or a simple full example on how one can display
a VIEW with a background image with components laid over the top of it? I can't seem to figure this out.
If possible, whoever can take the time to show this, can you show a modular solution, ie, how I could
have multiple screens each with their own background image and components on it? ....

I have already done this to a point.... BUT I CANNOT get the background image to STOP stretching! ugh!

Thanks!

If the background is stretching, try making the background image the same resolution as the screen.
If You're wanting the background to repeat, just open up photoshop and put them together yourself to make the one large background with the proper background. Just an alternate solution :P
