Romain Guy a developer working on the Android operating system confirmed in the Google Groups that they are working on an official support for JNI in the Android SDK. This could be great news for all the developers out there that have native libraries available written in C or C++.

Well yeah it didn't win anything. But the author is working on a 1.0 version which is nearly complete. At the moment he is waiting for a real device because hooking an external camera into the SDK isn't that easy anymore.
