db4objects announced that their object orientated database 'db4o' is ready for the world. It's free and open source under the GPL :!:
The key-features are:
  • 100% Native Java-Code queries :!:
  • only 600kB footprint
  • Easiest database you have ever used
  • Object persistence out-of-the-box

Hi plusminus,
I used db4o in a personal project and it's a good think. Actualy I would like to make a business project, do you know somethink like db4o but free for commercial use?

Just wanted to point out that you can now use db4o for free in your Android (or Windows Phone) app.
