The applications are returning to the app store so there are no worries about that topic anymore.

Is there any "normal" web front end of the Android market? I would like to check out what is in there ...

You can check the Android Market through the online emulator of the T-Mobile G1:

I don't think that are all apps. But I think there will be a 'release' of the market today. At least I hope so ;) .

Nevin

p.s. I am not going to wait for the Android Market to catch up, when my apps can sell today.

My software is shareware, it does not take too long to decide whether you like the software or not. A few people were getting there G1's early, but I was still surprised at how soon applications were sold. I am in Moutain time, so I guess down east they could have had the G1 a bit earlier. It does n't matter to me the more places to sell my software the better. With carrier taking 30% from the Market as announced today. It looks like MobiHand.com may be the most developer friendly application sales sight. Handango though has been around since 1999 and seem to have a pretty good hold on the search engines. Still eventually I think the market will be the easiest option for consumers.

Don't worry anyway, because in one or two weeks time apps will be swarming this market, the other markets, and the net, says my gut feeling.

I'm taking back my words. The Android Market sort of excludes free and voluntary (and open source) projects. I'm not paying 25 USD no matter what! :x :x

Don't get me wrong. Android is ofcourse still 'open' (there are other ways to get your apps published and on the phone, even raw), but exposure might be much less than through the Market.

I dont get your point. It is a one time fee. And don't tell me you cant invest 25$ (one time!) to be able to use such a big distribution environment.

Cryptic messages written in the sky over lower Manhattan that turned out to be part of a kooky art project mystified and unnerved New Yorkers Sunday afternoon. http://www.mtsconverter.es
Just after 4 p.m. a plane wrote the words "Last Chance" in the air. The message was preceded by"Lost Our Lease" and followed by "Now Open." http://www.mtsconverter.es/mts-converter-for-mac.htm
