Launchpad Account / Google Code Account for anddev.org

Postby coding_android » Sun Oct 05, 2008 1:22 pm

After stepping through all the tutorials I thought it could be useful to register some launchpad or google code account for sharing the tutorials with the users of anddev.org.

The advantages would be that it could be easier to maintain the tutorials and the users could easily import the projects into eclipse. From my point of view launchpad is pretty interesting because it has some very very nice features integrated (translation, blueprint feature etc.). In addition I like Bazaar for code management and it has a nice integration into Eclipse. (and is pretty lightweight)

I dont know the Google code thing very much but even the bug list is pretty confusing. (I hate searching bugs at google code :) )

This was just a thought while stepping through the tutorials. :-) Perhaps we could find some way to integrate the code hosted in the repository directly into the forum. So it would always be up to date.

Some links about Launchpad and Bazaar:

http://doc.bazaar-vcs.org/bzr.dev/en/us ... index.html - User Guide which explains Bazaar in a pretty simple way

Good ideas, but SVN is by far more spread than Bazaar. :?
Also the integration into the forum should be not an easy task :?
