you can telnet to the emulator:
telnet localhost 5554

to check the connection type:
gsm status

gsm data status should be: home, if not type
gsm data on

try http://www.google.com in the browser, and see if you can open the page.

Other options to try:
- Use the -wipe -data option when starting the emulator (wipes all userdata from the emulator like a hard reset)
- Google Group - Android Developers - Network Access, some people with also network problems

I replaced the website's name (http://www.webservicex.net) with the corresponding IP address and it worked.

Seems to be emulator does not use DNS's settings of Windows Vista.

Try call it using POST. GET is mostly use from browser, so it returns data 'for humans'

instead of that i replae that with http://www.hadadl.com/hdak.php url

i have done a interface for i am getting the response from the server but not in xml format .....
it is in differnet form i do't km\now what is that format

is it possible to get JSON response from SoapObject....
iam guessing that the response is JSON
