Server issues for map application

Postby androidpro » Mon Mar 31, 2008 4:01 pm

Hi All,
I am developing a new map application on Android. The application involves sending http request to a server, which fetches data from a database and returns it to the android application.

Few questions in mind are:
1. Can we send http requests to a server from android? My guess is it should..
2. What is a good choice for a server, Apache tomcat?

Thanks!

Yes. You can send http requests to a server and obtain response from the server.
