I am developing xmpp client(using smack API and open fire server).
I want to know what are the receive permissions to receive chat message from other client,
I want to receive file too from other client , what receive permission requires it?

If anybody know sol reply me asap.

If there is any sample for XMPPClient provide me. Here http://davanum.wordpress.com/2007/12/31 ... i-for-xmpp was one but presently it is not there.

You should be good with permission.INTERNET. As all transactions over XMPP are done via this permission...

Presently I am using same , But when I send chat mess from one emulator instance to particular user which
is logged on another instance , It gives exception of force to close appl(Message contains name of appl on other
instance has not running)

Is it the case that, I have to create custom permission for receiving chat message.
I mean how will appl know the chatt message has arrived.

You might wanna check what the exception caused. It's in your log.
