Hi all Do we need a special permission for accessing the internet for application that we develop, i mean the asking permission on Manifest.xml

Yes you do, add the following line to your AndroidManifest.xml

<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />

Im not able to connect wit the internet other than the application. Can you please tell me how can i enable this? Is there any extra configurations i have to do?

Hi All,
I am trying to open an interent connection with the following code snippet:

URL url = new URL(url_str);
InputStream is = url.openStream();

I have given persmission for internet in the manifest file.
<uses-permission android:name="android.permission.INTERNET" />

This code is working fine in emulator.
Buit whenever I am trying to run it in actual Device, the code is crashing with out giving any exceptions.

Can anyone please help me solving this problem?
