I was trying to work with multicastsockets but they doesnt work and give exception at recieve method. Do you have any ideas regarding this problem?

hmm... well I spoke with one of the developers who implemented quite a bit of the android core lib (framework) a few weeks ago
and he said, that not quite everything concerning multicast is implemented and one could face problems there...

...so it could be that this isn't an emulator problem, but instead an android problem....
