i've once used TCPmon to monitor the traffic. i'm not sure this work with android, but you may give it a try and post us your experience.

TCPmon is part of the Apache Axis-libraries
localhost is the android emulator

androidhttprequest.requestdump & androidhttprequest.responsedump..
