GTalk API does it have developer access?

Postby mistajase » Thu Nov 26, 2009 4:46 am

Basically I'm planning a friend finder application and was wondering if i could send and receive data messages
(like the user location instead of using HTTP and XML parser to share data between devices).

I know this was a security threat and the API was omitted in SDK1.0, I'm new to android development so i was wondering if this is possible with GTalk and has the threat been fixed?

or would it be better to use http? what's everyone's advice?

thanks!
