Design Pattern - Multiple Tables

Postby snivek » Wed Oct 07, 2009 5:32 pm

I am looking for guidance on how to write my table adapters and database helper when using a single database with multiple tables. I do not (think) i need a content provider as I do not have any need to make my data avail to other applications.

The notepad example that comes with the SDK includes the dbhelper as part of the table/db adapter class. This seems like redundant work when you create an adapter for each table. My assumption is that I would want to bring the db helper into its own class (singleton?) and then let the table adapters use this when they are constructed?

Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks!
