Transfer movies to Nvidia Shield - DVD, Blu-ray and Videos

And this guide explains how you can convert movies and TV shows (mkv, tivo, vob, mts, mpg, DVD, Blu-ray, etc) for your NVIDIA Shield from your existing collection, so that you can watch them on your Shield, without having to purchase them again from a digital movie store such as Google Play.

If your movie isn't already in one of the supported formats or it's still on a DVD or on a Blu-ray, you'll need to encode/re-encode it first. Along with some help from Brorsoft Blu-ray Video Converter Ultimate, you can transfer HD videos, Blu-ray, DVD movies to NVIDIA Shield for playback. Below is a simple tutorial for you to better convert and copy Blu-ray/DVD movies and various formats of 1080p/720p MKV, AVI, VOB, TiVo, MPG, etc. videos on Nvidia Shield. Just follow it.

The quick start guide below uses the movie converter Windows(Windows 8 included) screenshots. The way to converting movies to Shield on Mac is almost the same. Just make sure you get the right version. (Its equivalent Mac verison – iMedia Converter Mac)

1. Import source media to the program

Once run the Ulitmate Blu-ray Video Converter software, click “Add Video” to load video files like MTS/M2TS, MKV, VOB, MOV, TOD, TiVo, etc or click on “BD/DVD disc” icon to load movie from DVD and Blu-ray source(Disc, folder, ISO).


2. Select the suitable output video format

Click on the dropdown menu of "Format", here you can choose the optimized videos. So you can just select "Common Video" > "H.264 Video(*.mp4)" as the output video format.


3. Adjust the video, audio parameters

Click the “Settings” icon and you can adjust codec, bit rate, frame rate, sample rate and audio channel in the interface according to your needs and optimize the output file quality. The resolution 1280*720 is recommended here according to Shield’s screen resolution.


4. Start the conversion

After above steps, just click "Convert" icon to begin ripping Blu-ray/DVD and 1080p/720p videos to Nvidia Shield highly compatible MP4 videos.

Once the process completes, download and transfer the converted videos to your Shield via USB cable. In this way, you can easily enjoy Blu-ray/DVD movies and 1080p/720p HD videos on Nvidia Shield as you want.
