publishing native app on android market

Postby guian » Tue Mar 29, 2011 11:46 am

Hi every one,

I really need your help on this :
I developped an app using android NDK-4 ( release from 'crystax' with STL port)
today this app is ready and works on every tested devices :
HTC magic / myTouch
HTC desire / desire HD
samsung galaxy S
samsung galaxy tab

the problem occurs once it is published on Android market, the application does not show up from any Samsung galaxy S device.

do you know why ?

I compiled my native code using codesourcery arm compiler, it should target all ARMs arch from armv6 shouldn't it ?
( I've seen there are filters on those architecture target on the market, could it be the problem ? )

Do you have any "uses" in your manifest? This limits some devices from even seeing an application in the market if they do not meet the requirements.

thank you for your answer.

sorry I didn't post it here before but i finally found the problem :

Samsung limit the possible size off visible app in market around 30mo on samsung galaxy S
(and maybe other devices ?)

my app was something like 31mo, I solved the problem by remobing unused files/ ressources.
( native libs can be quit heavy ... :'( )
